Following the successful delivery of Millstream, RED has been appointed by St Monica Trust to deliver The Hub, a dining and social facility at their retirement village in Cote Lane, Bristol. 

The project involves an extension to Oatley House, linked via clear structural glass, creating a modern, comfortable space with seating, sofas, and a serving counter. The facility will serve both residents and the wider community, supporting social integration. Internal refurbishment works include reconfiguring toilets, adjusting office layouts, and creating a new reception area, all while preserving the historic 1920s character of Oatley House. 

Sustainability is central, with a timber glulam and CLT structure reducing embodied carbon and a green roof enhancing biodiversity. The Hub transforms previously underused space into a vibrant, welcoming café and social hub.
