Quality, health and safety are fundamental to how we operate as a main contractor. They underpin every stage of our projects, from early planning and procurement through to delivery and completion.
We are committed to providing a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment for our employees, supply chain partners, clients, visitors, and members of the public. Our approach is proactive and prevention-focused, supported by an integrated Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (QHSE) Management System aligned with ISO standards. We also maintain recognised industry accreditations, including Constructionline Gold.
RESPONSIBILITY
Responsibility for Quality, Health & Safety starts with our Project Leads and is supported by every member of the site team and our central services functions. We believe the strongest outcomes are achieved when ownership is embedded at every level of a project, creating a culture where high standards are consistently maintained across every site.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Our internal gateway process, The RED Way, sets clear checks, controls, and approvals across key project stages, with formal sign-off required before progression to ensure strong governance from pre-construction to completion. This is supported by three levels of internal project auditing and fortnightly site inspections, with findings reviewed by senior management to drive accountability, consistency, and continuous improvement.
RISK MANAGEMENT
We take a proactive approach to risk management through early hazard identification, regular risk assessments, audits, and targeted toolbox talks. Our culture encourages everyone on site to play an active role in maintaining safe working environments. Initiatives such as our “We Don’t Walk By” campaign empower teams to challenge unsafe conditions, raise concerns, and intervene before incidents occur, reinforcing a shared responsibility for safety across every project.
DEVELOPING PEOPLE & SKILLS
We are committed to developing an informed, engaged, and highly skilled workforce through ongoing training, daily briefings, and near-miss reporting.
By working closely with our supply chain partners and key material suppliers, we create consistent learning opportunities and task-specific training that support safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery across all areas of our work.
MENTAL HEALTH & WELLBEING
People are at the centre of everything we do. We are committed to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our teams through partnering with organisations such as Construction Sport and Mates in Mind.
Alongside these collaborations, we deliver regular wellbeing initiatives and provide trained Mental Health First Aiders across our sites and offices, helping to create a positive, supportive, and inclusive working environment for everyone.
