The Building Paths Apprenticeship Programme at RED is built for ambitious, driven people who want more than a qualification. Real experience, real support and a future you can shape.
This five-year programme combines fully funded education with hands on industry experience, giving you the chance to earn while you learn in an open, inclusive environment where people are trusted, supported and encouraged to grow.

In your first two years, you will complete a Higher National Certificate (HNC) while gaining exposure across various disciplines. Once you have chosen your specialism, you will continue your studies towards a Bachelor’s degree, building deeper expertise alongside real, on site experience. Our Work Experience Programme gives you a real taste of what a career in construction is really like. Based at our Head Office in Farringdon, you will spend the week with a small group of students from different schools, splitting your time between the office and a live London construction site.
You will get hands-on experience, build confidence and develop key skills such as teamwork, presenting and networking, while learning how different parts of the industry work, from site management and project delivery to design and sustainability.
Throughout the week, you will take part in practical activities, see projects at different stages and understand how everything comes together on site. To finish the week, you will work as a team on a final activity to consolidate all you have learnt.RED Industry Placement Year
RED offers year-out industry placements for students who want to gain real, hands-on experience in construction. You will be fully immersed in the business, working alongside experienced teams both in the office and on site and getting involved in live projects from day one. It’s a chance to build practical skills, grow your confidence and understand how the industry really works, all while laying strong foundations for your future career.
RED Next Gen Programme
What is the RED Next Gen Programme?
Open to team members aged 35 and under and designed to support professional development and networking. The community offers:- Access to exclusive networking, social and wellbeing events.
- Opportunities to build relationships across the industry.
- Development opportunities through networking mentors/CPDs and workshops.
