Our Moon Street project reached a key construction milestone last Friday as the team, client and partners came together to celebrate the topping out of this new-build student accommodation scheme in Bristol.
Delivered by our South West team, the development will provide 184 bedrooms across five storeys, constructed with CFA piling, RC foundations and slab, a podium structure and light gauge steel framing from the first to the fifth floor. The building will feature brick and stone facades, standing seam roofing, and flexible commercial space with an active frontage to support local businesses.
The ceremony brought together the client RED Oak Property, project team and key partners to acknowledge the progress made to date. Speeches were delivered by the South West’s Divisional Lead James Devey and Basim Ziadeh & Husam Sorour from RedOak Property, highlighting the strength of collaboration throughout the project.
Guests then took part in the ceremonial activities at ground level, including a bricklaying moment to mark this stage of the build, followed by the signing of the wall to create a lasting record of the milestone.
Commemorative gifts were presented to the client and principal project partners in recognition of their ongoing support and shared commitment to the successful delivery of Moon Street.
Thank you to everyone involved for their continued dedication and teamwork. We look forward to delivering a high-quality asset that will support future students and contribute positively to the local area.
