RED Special Projects comprises a team of highly experienced, creative and energetic people dedicated to delivering exceptional construction services from £1m to £10m value building projects.

Our team is comfortable with complexity, servicing specific needs such as façade replacement, structural alterations, refurbishment and fit-out in exactly the same way as we do on larger schemes. This variety of work scope calls for a truly professional approach from a dedicated team offering early engagement, programme interrogation, the management of risk and reliable delivery.

We are an agile business that responds quickly to client and project requirements and are able to readily call upon the additional resources of the RED Construction Group where appropriate. We primarily operate in the commercial, residential, hotel, retail and enabling works arenas but also engage in more specialist areas such as cladding replacement and enabling works. We are experienced in inner-city working with restricted sites, logistical challenges, stringent technical demands and work well under pressure.

Nathan Farrar’s career in construction spans over 25 years and has included work on numerous iconic and award-winning developments, including London’s Millennium Bridge. Since joining RED Construction Group in 2017,
Nathan has overseen the delivery of some of the company’s most complex and demanding projects. As Construction Director of the Special Projects division, Nathan leads the specialist team with his proven technical expertise and a solution-based approach.

Adam Sturge’s construction career has been forged over the past 20 years working alongside outstanding teams on unique, challenging, and award-winning projects. Having been at RED since its conception Adam has played a key role in establishing the Construction business and its ongoing relationships with employers, consultant teams and supply chain members alike. It is this experience, enthusiasm, and drive that Adam brings to his role as Commercial Director for RED Special Works that ensures projects are delivered successfully.

Within the RED Group we provide a range of services from traditional installation works through to self-delivery including full in-house design. We have a considerable staff resource within the business that can be drawn upon at any time and subsequently we tailor our services to each projects requirements. RED Special Projects have a dedicated Manger looking after all their requirements from Pre-Construction all the way through to handover.


RED Design and Technical Services is again a group department offering services ranging from a ‘soft-touch’ for traditional contracts through to full Design and Build delivery service covering all consultant services including design management, procurement and BIM. Within RED we tailor all our design services to the individual projects, and this applies as much to the London Division as it does to the Special Projects business.


As a shared group department the RED estimating department has a large resource that it can drawn upon ranging from a wide variety of experienced estimating staff, through to a huge number of established and approved subcontractors that can be drawn upon for all tenders. Within this department we have allocated staff who focus on projects and a personalised subcontractor list that is tailored to Special Projects.
