Graham Sturge co-founded RED Construction Group in 2016 to forge a new path in the industry, with the view to developing a culture of integrity and high calibre delivery. Before establishing RED, Graham’s extensive experience spanned positions as Regional Managing Director and Divisional Director with top-20 contractors in the UK, including McLaren and John Sisk & Son. As CEO, Graham leads RED’s controlled growth strategy and oversees the firm’s delivery across all sectors.
Before co-founding RED Construction Group in 2016, Ian Hopkinson had worked for 25 years in the construction industry, quickly progressing from site management to Operations Director. Working with mainstream contractors such as McLaren and John Sisk & Son, Ian has overseen the successful delivery of many residential, commercial, and healthcare projects. As Executive Director at RED, Ian applies his wealth of expertise in technical delivery and collaborative problem resolution.
Jon Hayes’ construction career spans 20 years, many of which worked alongside RED’s co-founders at companies such as McLaren and John Sisk & Son. Joining RED Construction Group as Commercial Director in 2019, Jon brought insight and experience with tier-1 contractor Wates Group. He quickly progressed from a site-based Quantity Surveyor to a Regional Commercial role. At RED, Jon oversees all commercial activities, applying his expertise in sector and market trends.
Dave Osborne joined RED Construction Group in 2021, bringing over 35 years of experience specific to the London construction market. Dave has worked for leading companies including Mace, Lendlease and McLaren Group on landmark schemes in the capital throughout his career. As Group Director at RED, Dave is closely involved with client and project management for all of the projects within the London business providing support to the teams in both pre-construction and construction delivery.
Nigel Warnes joined RED’s Operational Board in 2017 to further the company’s business development and operational strategies. Nigel has over 40 years of experience, beginning as a civil engineer and chartered builder, before spending 23 years at board level as a Construction Director at John Sisk & Son. Nigel has been involved with award-winning projects such as the American Air Museum at Duxford throughout his well-rounded career.
Martin Mills Non-Executive Director
Starting 44 years ago as a quantity surveyor, Martin Mills’ career has spanned the globe, including time in Saudi Arabia working on flood damage assessments for a vast oil pipeline. Martin has spent 18 years as Commercial Director for major UK contractors. Martin joined RED in 2017 and works alongside Nigel Warnes on the operational board, providing guidance and consultation for all commercial aspects of the business.
A business development and marketing specialist, Jim Lomas-Farley worked for over 40 years with some of the UK’s most successful contractors such as Bovis, Alfred McAlpine, Kier and Vinci. He has focused upon the development of long-standing productive relationships based on commitment and trust. Jim has worked closely with a wide range of clients engaged in everything from motorway and pipeline construction to major hospitals and award winning commercial, retail, leisure and residential developments. Jim began working for RED in 2019 and recently joined the Group Board as a Non-Executive Director with a remit of monitoring that all areas of the business adding real value for our clients and thereby our shareholders.
Before joining RED in 2022 Mark had worked in the construction industry for over 30 years, expediently progressing to Construction Director and working on many iconic schemes in London. Thereafter Mark has both lead and founded companies. With a wealth of experience Mark has a hands on approach which instils confidence and encourages personable and collaborative working.
Derek Quinn Managing Director South West
Derek joined RED Construction Group in 2021 as MD of RED South West. Derek has over 35 years of experience and has worked closely alongside other key members of the RED team throughout his career. Born in Bristol and with extensive experience and relationships throughout the South West, Derek brings a detailed understanding of construction solutions in many sectors. He is leading the growth in the South West and supports the Group with his strategic knowledge based on working with a dynamic high growth construction businesses.
Nathan Farrar’s career in construction spans over 25 years and has included work on numerous iconic and award-winning developments, including London’s Millennium Bridge. Since joining RED Construction Group in 2017, Nathan has overseen the delivery of some of the company’s most complex and demanding projects. As Managing Director of the Special Projects division, Nathan leads the specialist team with his proven technical expertise and a solution-based approach.
Noble is qualified as a BEng Building Services Engineer with an MSc in Renewable Energy Sources and since joining RED Construction in 2017, Noble as our Technical Services Director has been a key member of RED Construction Group’s senior management team. With over 25 years of experience delivering complex mechanical and electrical solutions, he uses his extensive experience with a very friendly and hands-on proactive approach.
Toby Yonge joined RED Construction Group in 2020 as Design Director. Starting in his career 22 years ago as a graduate engineer, Toby moved into structural engineering, which led to involvement in delivering London’s iconic Shard skyscraper. He brings a wealth of experience to RED across refurbishments, mixed-used and new-build projects. As part of his current role, Toby is championing RED’s sustainability strategy and driving BREEAM processes across various projects.
Sharon Hunt brings 25 years’ experience to RED Construction Group, having spent her career in the industry progressing from book-keeping for small businesses to her first appointment as a Finance Director in 2009. Establishing and maintaining the company’s financial strategy, Sharon has led and developed RED Construction Group’s Finance Team since 2017.
Simon Lousada Group Chairman
An entrepreneur involved in a number of businesses, Simon funded RED Construction Group from its formation in 2016. Simon started his first business at the age of 22 and currently holds significant interests in over thirty companies covering a number of sectors. As Chairman of RED, Simon brings considerable business experience to the team.
