Firing for a Cause – RED hosts 4th Annual Charity Clay Shooting Event

Last week, we were proud to host our 4th Annual Charity Clay Shooting Event in support of Pancreatic Cancer UK, an organisation we have supported for several years, across different events. 

This year’s event welcomed 80 attendees, including clients & colleagues, at the prestigious Holland & Holland shooting grounds in London. The day commenced with the firing of the La Destruidora Cannon, an honour undertaken by VKE’s Raf, which contributed £1,200 to the fundraising total and set the tone for a day of friendly competition. 20 teams of four participated in round-robin clay shoots, enjoying a day outdoors, great networking, and healthy rivalry, followed by lunch and an engaging charity auction. Thanks to the generosity of attendees, we raised an outstanding £10,000 for Pancreatic Cancer UK. Congratulations to Mike West from Arcade UK-MEP, who was awarded Top Gun, and to Albany Foot from E & A Securities, Jody Pearce from Mosaic, Richard Jones from Stace and our own Ian Hopkinson, claiming Top Team of the day. Amongst other items, the auction included a Holland & Holland shooting experience and two of our CEO Graham Sturge’s London Marathon shirts, which he ran earlier this year in support of Pancreatic Cancer UK. Both shirts were generously donated to the auction, quickly secured by enthusiastic bidders for £1,200 each. 

We are proud to see this event grow each year and grateful for the continued support that makes it possible. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to another successful day for a vital cause.
