DESCRIPTION
The 54,000 sq ft office refurbishment in the City of London is being delivered by RED Construction’s London team. Set to complete in Winter 2024, the redevelopment of the prominent site opposite the Bank of England has been designed by architects, Auckett Swanke. The ‘back to frame’ refurbishment will see RED Construction London reimagine the existing 1960s building for the ‘post pandemic’ workforce, with extensive tenant amenity and cutting-edge sustainability credentials, including BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ and NABERS 5* targets.
Alongside the creation of two additional floors, the façade will undergo an energy-efficient reconstruction, consisting of new Curtain Walling, Natural Limestone, and a Glazed Ceramic rainscreen. A new UKPN Substation will be implemented allowing for safer electricity delivery within the area. The redevelopment will also modernise the building, creating new private and communal terraces available to visitors with extensive Greening Factors.
